It will remains one of the most memorable days in the lives of the children of Stephen Children Home, Abeokuta as Professor Wole Soyinka, the Kongi himself, after long expectation by the children, suddenly appeared in the midst of the children on a courtesy visit on Saturday 6th December, 2014 around 15:00 GMT.

Nov 2014 - A day before the distribution, we tried our best to see that a handful of things are put in place. The action packs were rearranged and we made plans on how we would successfully control the crowd. We then finalized every other necessary arrangements.
On getting to the location for the distribution in Maiduguri we met a very huge crowd that surpassed our expectations and lot of other Christians with children were still on their way to the venue. In order to still be able to handle the crowd, we decided it would be better we divided them into two batches.

Madalla Yakori - (original name changed to protect victim) was shot when terrorists attacked Gwoza and killed a lot of people.
Men ran from their homes that day. Unknown to them, Madalla Yakori and his friends went home to pick some clean dresses and other things the next day but Boko haram came again around 3pm for another slaughter. On arrival, Madalla's wife told him that the Boko haram members were around and they should run for their lives.
