Luka Esther: Now a Graduate | Appreciates your Support

From Director’s Desk

Dear Brothers and Sisters

We are very thankful for your prayers and support to the children in our home.  We are happy to celebrate Esther Luka, on of our family of Martyrs.  Esther came along with her brothers who left our home after their secondary education.  Esther lost her mother while still at Stephens Children Home.  She was a good student and now one of our joy. We are grateful to all our friends and supporters who continue to be a channel of blessings to the Children at Stephens Children Home.  May the Lord Jesus bless you all.

Dear Sir,

I trust God that you are doing well.

I have adapted well in the orientation camp. It had been quite exciting and educating too though also with stress. It has been more exciting with many of my school mates around. We wake up everyday by 3:30am and take out bath to get set for the day activities. Good enough we usually start the day with praises and prayers to God. Then, we have time for meditation and parades. Other exciting activities comes up in the day.

I am currently assisting at the camp clinic as medical laboratory scientist. I am so happy working in that capacity at camp as it build my experience to work. I also count it an opportunity to help my Corp members too.

Thank You for Standing with Stephens Children Home

From the Director,

Dear brothers and Sister.

Thank you for standing with Stephens Children Home all this while.  While we can see the hands of the evil one striving hard to put an end to the future of hundreds of our children.  Still the hands of our Lord Jesus is still standing to deliver His saints from the evil works of  the evil one.   We have crawled all this 19 years serving the persecuted Church and our children we loved so much. My appreciation to my dear wife Yetunde and all our friends who continue to pray and support our work for Jesus at this crucial time.  May the Lord reward your work and all you do to help our mission.

Hanatu, Mary and Hanatu

Dear brothers and Sisters,

Three girls Hanatu, Mary and Hanatu  came to Stephens Children Home in 2013, after their miraculous escape from the den of Boko haram in Ghoza,.  Three of them were kidnapped, taken by force from their home. They were traumatized and humiliated against their wish and choice to education.  We heard their stories and decided to bring three of them down to our home and school. One of the Hanatu left because of lack of interest in academic.

From the Director

Sadhu Sundar Singh an Indian Christian missionary who was believed to have died in the foothills of the Himalayas in 1929 once said that “men are beautiful flowers in God’s garden”  Many time, I do recall how much beauty the Lord has bestowed His beauty on us. Each one of us is made in His image and for His purpose.  In the year 2000, I was in Kaduna distributing reliefs  donated by Voice of the Martyrs to the displaced victims who lost everything for the sake of Christ in Kaduna during the Sharia protest that consumed thousands of people including Christians. The crime of these brothers and sisters was nothing, than they choose to stand for their faith in Christ.   There,  I met two newly born baby one Mary and another one Mary.  They were born in the camp just like Christ who was born in a manger
